Job summary

EY is seeking an Assistant Director for Frontier AI to identify, shape, and scale emerging AI opportunities across EY. You will work with service lines, sectors, alliances, and innovation teams to align client needs with new technologies and drive initiatives from experimentation through capability development.

You will focus on trusted/open-weight models, AI-native software delivery, enterprise knowledge systems, and agentic systems, leading projects with diverse stakeholders to deliver

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in software engineering, AI, machine learning, product development, solution architecture, technical consulting, or related tech disciplines.
• Hands-on experimentation, prototyping, or building with emerging technologies as part of ongoing learning.
• Experience leading complex technology initiatives spanning technical, business, and stakeholder considerations.
• Ability to translate emerging technologies into business value and technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Identify emerging capabilities and market signals relevant to EY client needs and firm strategy.
• Build relationships across service lines, sectors, alliances, and regions to understand evolving business needs.
• Lead Frontier AI initiatives connecting technology with client challenges and strategic priorities.
• Experiment with technologies to gain first-hand understanding of capabilities and limitations.
• Design prototypes and proofs-of-concept to validate opportunities and accelerate learning.
• Assess opportunities across business value, feasibility, readiness, risk, and adoption potential.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to validate and advance new capabilities.
