Job summary

EY’s Frontier AI team seeks an Assistant Director to identify, shape, and scale emerging AI opportunities. You’ll work with service lines, sectors, alliances, and innovation teams to connect client needs with new capabilities, from experimentation through development.

You will lead initiatives on trusted/open models, AI-native software delivery, enterprise knowledge systems, and agentic systems, translating tech into actionable business outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering/IS/Business or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in software engineering, AI, ML, product development, solution architecture, technical consulting, PM, or related tech disciplines.
• Hands-on experimentation, prototyping, or building with emerging technologies as part of an ongoing practice of learning.
• Experience leading complex technology initiatives spanning technical, business, and stakeholder considerations.
• Experience evaluating emerging technologies and translating them into business value or new capabilities.
• Preferred backgrounds include technology startups, technical program management, solution engineering, customer engineering, product development, or innovation roles.

Responsibilities

• Monitor developments across AI to identify capabilities, market signals, and opportunities relevant to clients and EY strategy.
• Build relationships across service lines, sectors, regions, and ecosystems to understand evolving needs and tech opportunities.
• Identify, shape, and lead Frontier AI initiatives connecting technologies with client challenges and priorities.
• Experiment with emerging technologies to develop understanding of capabilities, limitations, and applications.
• Design and build experiments, prototypes, and proofs-of-concept to validate opportunities and accelerate learning.
• Assess opportunities across business value, feasibility, readiness, risk, and adoption potential.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to validate, refine, and advance new capabilities.
