Job summary

EY in the United States is seeking an Frontier AI Assistant Director to identify and scale emerging AI opportunities across EY. You will connect evolving client needs with new technologies and lead initiatives from experimentation through capability development.

This role focuses on trusted and open-weight models, AI-native software delivery, enterprise knowledge systems, and collaboration with service lines, sectors, alliances, and innovation teams to deliver measurable business outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 8+ years in software engineering, AI, machine learning, product development, solution architecture, technical consulting, or related technology disciplines.
• Hands-on experimentation, prototyping, or building with emerging technologies as part of an ongoing practice.
• Experience leading complex technology initiatives spanning technical, business, and stakeholder considerations.
• Experience evaluating emerging technologies and translating them into business value, technical solutions, or new capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Identify, shape, and lead Frontier AI initiatives that connect emerging technologies with client challenges and strategic priorities.
• Monitor developments across AI, both externally and within EY, to identify capabilities, signals, and opportunities.
• Build relationships across service lines, sectors, alliances, regions, and external ecosystems.
• Continuously experiment with emerging technologies to develop understanding of their capabilities and limitations.
• Design and build experiments, prototypes, and proofs-of-concept to validate opportunities and accelerate learning.
• Assess opportunities across business value, technical feasibility, enterprise readiness, risk, and adoption potential.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to validate, refine, and advance new capabilities.
