Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking a Software Engineer III in New York to design and deliver trusted, secure, and scalable technology products within the Trust & Security Identity team.

You will contribute to a seasoned agile team, building front-end and full-stack solutions, while leveraging AI-assisted tooling for code quality, testing, and documentation. Strong collaboration with product and business teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience.
• Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Proficiency in modern fullstack development, including Java, React and TypeScript, with experience building internal tooling, developer portals, or platform-facing UIs.
• Hands-on experience with modern CSS techniques and frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of mobile-first and responsive design principles.
• Ability to integrate with APIs within the context of modern frontend applications.
• Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools within the work environment with demonstrated ability to evaluate, validate, and refine outputs.

Responsibilities

• Executes software solutions, design, development, and troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine approaches.
• Creates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run with appropriate systems.
• Leverages enterprise AI coding assist tools to improve code quality, speed, and productivity with peer review and automated testing.
• Applies knowledge of SDLC tools and AI-assisted development to improve automation and value.
• Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications and ensures design constraints are met.
• Gathers, analyzes, and visualizes data to drive continuous improvement of software applications.
• Develops and supports platform capabilities and operational processes for end-to-end journey operations.
• Collaborates with Product and LOB stakeholders to translate self-service requirements into intuitive UI experiences.
