Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Software Engineer III to design, develop, and deliver secure, scalable technology within Asset & Wealth Management. You will work in an agile team, building trusted solutions across multiple domains and leveraging enterprise AI-assisted tooling to improve quality and speed.

The role requires hands-on experience with Java, React, SQL, and Spring, plus strong understanding of SDLC, CI/CD, security, and data-driven decision-making.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 3+ years of applied experience.
• Experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Proficiency in Java, React, and SQL within large corporate environments.
• Strong SQL querying skills for data retrieval and analysis.
• Experience building interactive UIs with React and frontend best practices.
• Backend experience with Spring frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Executes software solutions, design, development, and troubleshooting to build reliable systems.
• Produces secure, high-quality production code and maintains algorithms.
• Creates architecture/design artifacts for complex applications and ensures constraints are met.
• Gathers and analyzes data to develop visualizations and reporting for continuous improvement.
• Identifies patterns in data to drive improvements in coding hygiene and system architecture.
• Contributes to engineering communities and explores emerging technologies.
• Uses enterprise AI coding tools to improve code quality, speed, and productivity, with peer review and secure coding checks.
• Applies SDLC tools and AI-assisted development capabilities to enhance automation and value.
