Job summary

JPMorganChase in Plano, TX is seeking a Software Engineer III to join our Consumer & Community Banking team. You will be a seasoned member of an agile squad designing and delivering secure, scalable UI products.

You will own front-end delivery with React and TypeScript, lead technical design, contribute to CI/CD, and leverage AI-assisted development tools with strong peer review and secure coding practices.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with 3+ years of applied experience.
• Hands-on experience building enterprise web applications with React + TypeScript.
• Experience with UI testing (Jest/RTL, Cypress/Playwright) and systematic debugging.
• Proven experience delivering accessible, performant UIs (WCAG awareness, profiling).
• Proven experience implementing and improving CI/CD for front-end apps with automated gates.
• Disciplined use of AI coding assistants with verification and secure usage practices.
• Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, and secure handling of inputs/outputs.

Responsibilities

• Own delivery of complex UI features using React and TypeScript, aligned to a design system and front-end standards.
• Lead UI technical design and document key decisions.
• Drive quality through automated testing, accessibility compliance, and performance optimization.
• Build and improve CI/CD for UI delivery and reduce flaky tests.
• Use enterprise-approved AI tools to accelerate refactoring, feature changes, test generation, and documentation with validation.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve code quality and productivity with peer review.
• Apply SDLC tooling knowledge to improve automation and value realization.
• Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications and ensure design constraints are met.
• Gather and analyze data to develop visualizations and reporting for continuous improvement.
• Identify hidden patterns in data to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture.
