Affirm is reinventing credit to offer flexible, transparent buy-now-pay-later options. The Marketplace and App Experience team shapes our frontend journeys across mobile and web, collaborating with product, design and analytics to deliver impactful features.

You will work with React/React Native, contribute to API design with Kotlin or Python, and own thoughtful, well-tested code while growing your skills in a remote-first environment.

Qualifications

• 1.5+ years of experience as a software engineer.
• Experience shipping web apps using declarative UI frameworks like React or Vue.
• Experience shipping mobile apps using native or cross-platform languages like React Native.
• Experience designing, developing and launching APIs at scale using languages like Kotlin or Python.
• Ability to translate simple problems into extensible code and well-tested solutions.
• Comfort navigating a large code base, debugging others' code and performing code reviews.

Responsibilities

• Break down large projects into tasks and deliver in phases.
• Collaborate with product management, design & analytics during ideation and decisions.
• Support operations and on-call efforts, monitor metrics, and keep artifacts healthy.
• Contribute to team growth and participate in interview processes.
