Job summary

Affirm is seeking a frontend software engineer to help deliver web and mobile experiences across multiple surfaces, collaborating with product, design and analytics. You will ship apps using React, Vue and React Native, and design APIs with Kotlin or Python.

You will own tasks, contribute to code reviews, and help maintain scalable, well-tested code in a remote-first environment. A bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 1.5+ years of experience is required.

Qualifications

• 1.5+ years of experience as a software engineer.
• Experience shipping web apps using declarative UI frameworks like React or Vue.
• Experience shipping mobile apps using native or cross-platform languages like React Native.
• Experience designing, developing and launching APIs at scale using Kotlin or Python.
• Ability to take a simple problem and craft extensible, well-tested code across components.

Responsibilities

• Break down large projects into tasks and deliver in phases.
• Collaborate with product, design & analytics to balance risks and trade-offs.
• Support operations and monitor team artifacts; contribute to on-call efforts.
• Engage in growth and development activities, including interview process participation.
