Job summary

Affirm is reinventing credit with a remote-first approach, enabling a flexible work model across the U.S. You will contribute to front-end web and mobile experiences, break down complex work into actionable tasks, and collaborate across product, design, and analytics to ship scalable APIs.

You are expected to have 1.5+ years as a software engineer, hands-on with React/React Native, and experience designing APIs using Kotlin or Python, with strong communication and ownership of outcomes.

Qualifications

• 1.5+ years of experience as a software engineer.
• Experience shipping web apps with React or Vue.
• Experience shipping mobile apps with React Native.
• Experience designing, developing and launching APIs at scale (Kotlin or Python).
• Ability to decompose problems and write clear, well-tested, extensible code.
• Comfort debugging large code bases and participating in code reviews.
• Strong growth mindset, ownership of learning, and stakeholder collaboration.
• Excellent verbal and written communication for global teams.

Responsibilities

• Break down large projects into tasks and deliver in phases with timely delivery.
• Collaborate with product, design, and analytics to discuss constraints and trade-offs.
• Support operations of team artifacts by monitoring metrics and on-call duties.
• Contribute to team growth through interview participation and knowledge sharing.
