Job summary

Affirm is hiring a frontend/software engineer for remote US work, focusing on the Home hub and front-end experiences across web and mobile platforms. You will partner with product, design, and analytics to ship features in multi-phase delivery.

You will own components, review peers, and contribute to APIs and data flows that scale. A 1.5+ year track record and strong communication are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• 1.5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Experience shipping web apps with declarative UI frameworks (React or Vue).
• Experience shipping mobile apps with React Native or native/cross‑platform languages.
• Experience designing, developing and launching APIs at scale using Kotlin or Python.
• Ability to transform simple problems into multi-component solutions with well-tested, extensible code.
• Comfort navigating large codebases and participating in code reviews.

Responsibilities

• Break down large projects into tasks and deliver in phases.
• Collaborate with product management, design and analytics to align on constraints and trade-offs.
• Create and monitor metrics, support on-call efforts and maintain team artifacts.
• Contribute to team growth through participation in interview processes.
