Job summary

Compass Real Estate - Peninsula is seeking software engineers to help evolve our CIS platform. You will design and maintain backend microservices powering Title & Escrow, Insurance, Mortgage, and Home Warranty workflows, while also contributing to intuitive frontend interfaces with React.

You will deliver features end-to-end, improve system reliability, and participate in agile rituals within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of software engineering experience developing well-tested, high-performance applications.
• Proficiency in Go, Node.js, Python, or Java.
• Experience with TypeScript and React, and full-stack capabilities.
• Experience building and consuming APIs (gRPC or REST) in microservice architectures.
• Familiarity with AWS/cloud technologies and modern CI/CD tooling.

Responsibilities

• Develop Core Backend Services: Design, implement, and maintain robust backend microservices and APIs for One-Click workflows.
• Contribute Across the Stack: Frontend contributions using React/TypeScript to support end-to-end features.
• Deliver Features End-to-End: Independently deliver components and collaborate on complex designs.
• Enhance Operational Excellence: Improve monitoring, reliability, and participate in on-call rotations.
• Drive Quality and Testing: Write maintainable code and comprehensive tests to minimize regressions.
• Act as a Component SME: Become SME for internal components/tools and mentor interns.
• Collaborate in Agile Workflows: Participate in code reviews, planning, and design discussions.
