Job summary

Sift is seeking a seasoned product engineer to own hardware-focused frontend features for the Sift Agents platform. You will talk to customers, decide what to build, and own delivery from MVP through iterations, tackling performance and UX on real-time telemetry data.

You'll ship high-quality web interfaces using React, Next.js and TypeScript, optimize for latency, and collaborate with backend engineers on API design. This role blends product ownership with technical execution.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience owning a product area and shipping features to customers.
• Experience building high-performance web apps with React, NextJS, and TypeScript.
• Attention to detail on micro-interactions, latency, and polish.

Responsibilities

• Talk directly to customers to translate workflows into agent capabilities.
• Build frontend surfaces where Sift Agents live and ensure a great feel.
• Design interaction patterns for streaming responses and long-running tasks.
• Render agent findings alongside telemetry and keep performance high.
• Push browser limits with Web Workers, OPFS caching, and minimal React bottlenecks.
• Contribute to the component library for consistent UI patterns.
• Collaborate with backend and full-stack engineers on API design.
