Job summary

Sift is hiring a senior software engineer to build frontend experiences, APIs, and agent infrastructure for Sift Agents. You’ll own product iterations from MVP onward, partner with customers, and scale across cloud and on-prem deployments.

The role emphasizes building reliable AI-powered agent systems, tool design, and observability in a hybrid work environment. Strong frontend and backend capabilities are required.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Frontend web applications with React/NextJS or similar frameworks.
• APIs or backend services with Go, Python, Rust or similar.
• Curious about new AI products and evaluative tooling.

Responsibilities

• Talk directly to customers and partner with product to turn real review workflows into agent capabilities.
• Design, ship, and operate agentic systems for large-scale time-series data and hardware context.
• Build tool interfaces, sandboxed execution, context/memory management, and guardrails for dependable agents.
• Develop and maintain MCP server and the extensible surface for querying telemetry.
• Work across the full stack to build frontend surfaces and robust APIs.
• Create and run evaluation suites to measure latency, cost, and reliability in production.
• Integrate frontier models across providers.
