Job summary

Tek One Solutions in Abernathy, TX is seeking Front-Side Patching Production Technicians for a large-scale data center project. The role focuses on accurate patching and cable management, working with patch panels, port maps, cut sheets, and labels.

You will perform front-side patching, verify ports, maintain proper sequence, dress cables neatly, and support QC. Shifts are 12 hours; travel is 100% to site with travel expenses handled.

Qualifications

• Experience in data center patching, network cabling or structured cabling.
• Familiarity with patch panels and equipment ports.
• Reading cable labels, port maps, or cut sheets.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow repetitive technical instructions.
• Willingness to work 12-hour shifts and maintain attendance.

Responsibilities

• Perform front-side patching of network infrastructure.
• Follow assigned port maps and cut sheets.
• Verify source and destination ports before connecting.
• Verify cable IDs and labels.
• Maintain proper patch sequence and polarity.
• Dress and route patch cords neatly.
• Identify labeling or port discrepancies before completing connections.
• Escalate installation discrepancies when required.
• Work at a fast production pace without sacrificing accuracy.
• Support QC and correction activities.
• Maintain clean and organized equipment areas.
