Job summary

Hotel Fort Des Moines, Curio Collection by Hilton is seeking a Front Desk Supervisor to support front office operations and staff, ensuring guest satisfaction and proper room availability. You’ll supervise front desk and bell staff, review daily arrivals, and uphold policies with a guest-centric approach.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience, preferably in Hospitality or related industry.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to balance guest needs with policy adherence.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support all Front Office staff (Front Desk and Bell/Door) to ensure policies are followed while welcoming guests.
• Review and prepare for daily arrivals and look at business on book at least seven days out daily.
• Hold shift briefings to communicate daily events, VIPs, current hotel offerings, updated policies, weekly training topics, occupancy, day of selling strategy, etc.
• Maintain knowledge of all hotel outlets, facilities and local events.
• Account for daily yielding, balancing of house with room types/rates, correct settlement of room revenue and ensure credit is established on all accounts.
• Address credit concerns and communicate any outstanding issues to the next shift manager for follow-up.
• Ensure accurate guest data is inputted into HMS profile including comments and history.
• Report and follow up on guest issues with confidentiality.
• Maintain a detailed log with all guest issues and resolutions.
• Communicate hotel needs to departments to ensure room availability and open calls are addressed in a timely manner with follow-up to guests.
