Columbia Hospitality’s Knob Hill Inn Sun Valley is seeking a front desk supervisor who will lead daily front office operations at the Sun Valley property near Ketchum, Idaho. You’ll oversee guest services, registrations, VIP requests, and safety procedures while coaching staff and ensuring seamless guest experiences.

Ideal candidates have hospitality leadership, strong English communication, and a proven ability to train and motivate a team.

Qualifications

• Front-desk supervisory or lead experience in hospitality preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
• Experience leading a team.
• Customer service or guest relations experience required.
• Fluent English to analyze and interpret business communications.
• Ability to present information to managers, clients, and the public.
• Ability to calculate discounts, interest, and percentages.
• Ability to interpret written and oral instructions.
• Must possess basic negotiation skills and strong customer relations.
• Strong computer skills: Outlook, Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Supervise front office operations (Front Desk, Valet, PBX, Reservations during peak times).
• Respond to guest and employee needs promptly with service recovery when needed.
• Perform front desk duties including registration, check-out and reservations.
• Manage VIP requests, including room preferences, amenities, and welcome letters.
• Uphold safety and security policies and procedures at all times.
• Assist with training, coaching, and development of team members.
• Assist with interviewing team members.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of property amenities and events.
• Prepare daily reports and distribute as directed.
• Ensure front office standards; address deficiencies.
• Provide guests with directions about amenities and local sights.
• Handle cashier tasks and closing reports in the system.
• Follow company policies; report accidents and maintain appearance standards.
• Protect confidentiality and company assets.
• Welcome guests per standards and build positive relationships.
• Support team to reach common goals; perform other duties as requested.
