Job summary

HEI Hotels is seeking a Rooms Controller to support the Front Office Manager at Baltimore Marriott Inner Harbor. You will be responsible for greeting guests, inputting registrations, processing payments, and ensuring efficient check-in/out while upholding HEI standards.

Ideal candidates have at least one year in hospitality or customer service, with solid math and computer skills. This on-site role offers opportunities for growth within HEI’s dynamic team and brand programs.

Qualifications

• One year experience in customer service in hospitality or similar industry.
• Basic mathematical skills for moderately complex calculations.
• Ability to access and input information using a moderately complex computer system.
• Ability to stand, walk and work behind the front desk.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Front Office Manager in managing Front Office operations to achieve guest satisfaction and financial goals.
• Greet guests with a friendly welcome and provide accurate information (hours, attractions).
• Complete registration by inputting and retrieving information from the computer system and verifying guest details.
• Handle cash, balance house bank, process payments and authorize charges when needed.
• Respond to telephone inquiries clearly and relay messages to guests.
• Resolve guest concerns by researching issues and implementing effective solutions.
