Planned Parenthood Pasadena and San Gabriel Valley, Inc. seeks a Front Office Specialist Float to support patient registration, eligibility, and demographic capture across five health centers: Alhambra, Baldwin Park, Glendora, Highland Park, and Pasadena.

The role requires strong customer service, insurance knowledge, charge entry experience, and bilingual abilities; you will greet patients, collect co-pays, schedule appointments, and ensure HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience in health care or related settings preferred.
• Insurance knowledge and charge entry experience highly preferred.
• Strong listening and interpersonal skills required.
• Multi-task in a fast-paced work environment and maintain professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Register/check-in patients and greet them professionally.
• Accurately collect and enter demographic information.
• Assess fee category for sliding fee scale and identify insurance plans.
• Enter 3rd party payer information to maximize reimbursement.
• Collect co-pays and deductibles on the day of service.
• Schedule patient appointments and maintain HIPAA compliance.
• Provide training and cross-training to staff on EPM/EMR systems.
• Assist with billing questions and resolve issues with the billing department.
