Job Summary

The Front Office Receptionist will be responsible for accurate and timely patient registration using medical systems. This role involves verifying insurance coverage, providing excellent customer service to patients, physicians, and staff, and managing patient flow and documentation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and visitors, answer inquiries, and manage communication via phone and in person.
  • Register patients in the Practice Management System (EMR), creating new accounts as needed.
  • Prepare patient paperwork and reschedule no-shows.
  • Schedule appointments, answer patient questions, and ensure patient comfort.
  • Respond to emergencies appropriately and efficiently.
  • Update and verify patient information and insurance details.
  • Manage the reception area, collect payments, and maintain confidentiality.
  • Follow policies and procedures, contribute to team efforts, and demonstrate superior customer service.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required; Associate's Degree preferred.
  • At least 1 year of customer service experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
