Job summary

Highgate Hotels is seeking an Assistant Director of Front Office for Hyatt Regency San Francisco Downtown SOMA. You will lead Guest Services, Concierge, and Front Office operations to deliver exceptional guest experiences while optimizing revenue and occupancy.

The role requires strong supervisory skills, airline-like attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced hotel environment. A flexible schedule and commitment to Highgate’s service standards are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of progressive hotel experience or related field; supervisory experience preferred.
• Proficient in Windows, company-approved spreadsheets and word processing.
• Valid driver’s license from the applicable state.
• Long hours and shift flexibility may be required.
• Excellent communication and guest-service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Respond to guests’ requests, problems, complaints, and accidents at the Front Desk in a courteous manner and follow up for satisfaction.
• Coach, counsel and discipline Guest Services staff according to SOPs.
• Lead interviews and participate in hiring per SOPs.
• Develop staff morale and train Guest Services personnel.
• Maximize room revenue and occupancy; monitor rate variance and daily house count.
