Job description

CGS is seeking a Front Office Manager to join our team supporting the legal mission of a large federal agency. This position offers an opportunity for candidates to demonstrate expertise in office management by providing managerial support and interacting with clients or attorneys.

Skills and Attributes for Success:
  • This is a high-visibility, onsite position requiring presence 5 days a week.
  • The candidate must interact closely with high-level staff to complete assignments with minimal oversight.
  • Professional demeanor and work ethic are essential.
  • Only very experienced candidates with proven, long-term relevant experience will be considered; this is not an entry-level position.
  • Schedule and coordinate senior management calls/meetings via Zoom, MS Teams, etc.
  • Set up and manage hybrid meetings.
  • Coordinate with IT to resolve technical issues.
  • Make and reconcile travel arrangements using the E2 application (training provided) and handle travel adjustments as needed.
  • Answer and direct incoming calls appropriately.
  • Coordinate site events and scheduling with internal and external parties.
  • Manage correspondence and organize workloads, processes, and physical spaces.
  • Schedule appointments and communicate on behalf of senior management as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum four years of progressively responsible supervisory and management experience, with proven communication skills.
  • Experience interacting with the public via phone or front desk.
  • Experience ordering and maintaining documents.
  • Exceptional phone etiquette and operating multiline phone systems.
  • Strong proofreading skills for typographical, grammatical, and spelling accuracy.
  • Experience managing day-to-day office operations and supervising support staff.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to learn new applications quickly; self-starter with initiative.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Undergraduate degree required.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Law degree, advanced technical certification, or other relevant graduate degree preferred.
