Position Overview: We are looking for a qualified hospitality leader to serve as our Front Office Manager. You will lead front office activities, ensure excellent guest service, and support the team in reservations, room assignments, and guest requests. Your role includes training staff, maximizing profits, and exceeding guest expectations.

Essential Functions:

  1. Schedule guest services staff, including front desk, night audit, and breakfast attendants
  2. Fulfill Manager on Duty responsibilities as assigned
  3. Lead the Guest Services team with a hands-on approach
  4. Maintain staffing, supplies, and inventory controls
  5. Support other hotel areas as needed
  6. Review schedules and address issues
  7. Conduct team meetings and keep staff informed
  8. Be familiar with hotel computer systems for training and troubleshooting
  9. Complete daily credit checks
  10. Ensure compliance with systems, controls, and standards
  11. Manage and train front office staff on company and brand standards
  12. Maximize room occupancy and revenue
  13. Establish and maintain SOPs
  14. Oversee staff appearance and grooming standards
  15. Assign duties, monitor performance, and ensure policy adherence
  16. Review guest experience scores and implement improvements
  17. Respond to guest inquiries, complaints, and requests
  18. Create a motivating and positive work environment
  19. Manage corporate accounts
  20. Perform other duties as assigned, including coverage for front desk roles
  21. Ensure compliance with safety and health regulations
  22. Oversee breakfast service operations as applicable

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Customer service orientation, multi-tasking, detail-oriented, organized
  • Previous experience in front desk or guest service supervisory roles
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and office equipment
  • Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to work independently

Physical Demands:

  • Standing for long periods
  • Repetitive use of arms, hands, legs
  • Lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Visual and sensory acuity
  • Ability to work under stress

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma required; some college preferred
  • At least one year in a hotel management role
  • Leadership ability and computer skills
  • Fluent in English; additional languages a plus
  • Ability to perform under pressure
