Job summary

OrthoAtlanta, LLC is seeking a Patient Services Representative to support a fast-paced orthopedic clinic in Covington, GA. You will greet patients, collect payments, schedule appointments, and manage EMR data with accuracy while maintaining a compassionate, patient-focused demeanor.

The role requires 2+ years in a medical office, familiarity with medical terminology, and strong communication skills in a team-driven environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience in a medical office or clinical setting preferred.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and EMR systems (Epic a plus).
• Strong customer service skills and a professional, patient-focused demeanor.
• Excellent organizational, multitasking, and time-management abilities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• High attention to detail and discretion with patient information.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, check them in and out, and answer questions about appointments, insurance, or procedures.
• Collect co-pays, prepayments, and outstanding balances while explaining policies as needed.
• Schedule new and follow-up appointments and manage incoming calls for timely communication.
• Input/update patient demographics, insurance details, and visit information in the EMR system.
• Open/close front office, maintain a clean waiting area, and manage EMR buckets to support clinic flow.
• Collaborate with team, communicate clearly and compassionately, and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
