Job description

Dental Office Manager / Cross-Trained Dental Professional.

We are a small, patient-centered dental practice focused on quality care, patient comfort, and a holistic, wellness-based approach to dentistry.

We are seeking an experienced, proactive, and dependable dental professional who can independently manage daily front office and business operations while supporting the clinical team when needed.

The ideal candidate is a natural leader who takes ownership, solves problems, and helps the practice run efficiently, even when the doctor is away.

Key Responsibilities:

Office Management & Business Operations:

  • Oversee daily office operations and coordinate team workflows.
  • Manage scheduling, patient communications, treatment coordination, and financial arrangements.
  • Oversee insurance verification, billing, collections, and outstanding accounts.
  • Monitor practice performance, identify areas for improvement, and help implement solutions.
  • Support staff accountability, efficiency, and a positive team environment.
  • Independently handle daily operational issues and make sound decisions.

Front Office:

  • Answer phones, schedule appointments, and manage patient inquiries.
  • Greet patients, coordinate check-in/check-out, and collect payments.
  • Maintain an organized schedule and smooth patient experience.

Back Office Support (As Needed):

  • Assist chairside, prepare operatories, and support sterilization.
  • Help maintain clinical workflow and inventory.
  • Take X-rays if appropriately certified or licensed.
Qualifications:
  • Dental front office experience required, preferably with office management or leadership experience.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable managing business operations independently.
  • Dental assisting experience strongly preferred.
  • Open Dental experience preferred.
  • Experience with iTero, CBCT, ozone, or holistic/biologic dentistry is a plus, but not required.
Who We're Looking For:

Someone who is reliable, organized, resourceful, and takes initiative without constant direction. A team player who enjoys working with patients, understands the business side of dentistry, and is willing to help wherever needed.

We value someone who wants to grow with our practice and contribute to its long-term success.
