Job summary

Southeast Pain and Spine Care is seeking a Front Office Floater to join our team. The role acts as the first point of contact across multiple NC clinic locations, handling check-in/out, scheduling, and patient intake.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of medical front office experience, familiarity with insurance verification, and EMR systems (eClinicalWorks preferred). Travel between offices is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of medical front office experience required.
• Experience in a specialty medical practice preferred (pain management a plus).
• Knowledge of insurance verification, referrals, and medical terminology.
• Experience with electronic medical records (eClinicalWorks preferred).

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and provide exceptional customer service.
• Check patients in and out efficiently and accurately.
• Schedule, reschedule, and confirm appointments.
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits.
• Collect copays, deductibles, and outstanding balances.
• Answer phones and direct calls appropriately.
• Maintain accurate patient demographic and insurance information.
• Scan and upload medical records into the EMR.
• Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure efficient patient flow.
• Assist with referrals and other front office administrative duties.
• Float between multiple office locations to provide coverage.

Position Summary:

As a Front Office Floater, you will serve as the first point of contact for our patients while ensuring our front office operations run smoothly. Duties would include: ensuring seamlesscheck-in and check-out processes, managing patient intake, and coordinating scheduling. This role requires excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt quickly to different office locations and teams.
