Starting pay for this position is $17.14/hour.

This is an hourly position.

Overview

This job is located in Morton, IL.

Schedule: Tuesday 0630-1700, Thursday and Friday 0700-1730.

Part-time, 30 hours a week.

Position Summary

The Front Office Assistant provides exceptional customer service throughout their interactions with patients, families, and support systems. They are the face of the office, and their interactions are vital in creating a patient-first environment. They make a positive first impression of OSF's services to patients, families, and external customers, whether over the phone or in person. Responsibilities include reception and clerical duties, scheduling and registration, collaborating with patients, providers, and insurance companies to meet patient needs, determining insurance benefits, completing prior-authorizations, managing incoming and outgoing calls, collecting co-pays, and scheduling appointments and procedures.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Customer service experience
  • Typing, filing, and telephone skills
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft applications
  • Excellent customer service skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-10, and CPT codes
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Records
