Qualifications

• Willingness to pursue Funeral Director Apprentice certification.
• Must be 18 years or older and able to lift 100+ lbs.

Responsibilities

• Manage the reception area and respond to families, staff, and public inquiries by phone, email, and in-person.
• Greet families and guests and direct them to appropriate staff.
• Assist with mail, deliveries, and package pickup.
• Support administration tasks for arrangements, obituaries, and death certificates.
• Assist in creating memorial bookmarks, folders, videos, social media posts, and the funeral home website.
• Assist with billing processes (accounts receivable/payable).
• Support events setup and facility maintenance.
• Maintain office supplies and inventories; assist with vehicles as needed.
• Keep office areas and public rooms clean and professional; perform housekeeping duties.
• If you obtain the 16-hour Funeral Director Apprentice certification, assist with transfers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Uphold confidentiality and demonstrate high compassion for families served.
• Provide excellent customer service and strong written/verbal communication.
