Job summary

Burlington Stores in Elizabeth, New Jersey, is hiring a Shortage Control Associate to help maintain a secure shopping environment while delivering exceptional customer service. In this role, you will stand at the front of the store, monitor entrances and high-risk areas, greet customers with a warm smile, and work with leadership to reduce theft and protect assets.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, or Operations is preferred
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time and to visually monitor store environment
• Ability to maintain confidentiality is required
• Excellent communication with customers and co-workers

Responsibilities

• Maintain a professional presence at store entrances, exits and high-risk areas to deter theft
• Greet every customer with a warm smile and an energetic greeting
• Identify and report theft incidents or suspicions to the Manager on Duty
• Work with store leadership to create a secure environment and reduce opportunities for theft
• Provide training to associates on shortage reduction programs and processes
