Job summary

Burlington Stores, Inc. is seeking a part-time Shortage Control Associate to help maintain a secure shopping environment and deliver excellent customer service.

You will stand at store entrances, greet customers with a warm smile, and monitor for theft while supporting shortage-reduction programs. Responsibilities include reporting theft incidents to the Manager on Duty, performing bag checks per safety standards, and helping train associates on loss-prevention practices.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, or Operations is preferred.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Monitor store entrances and exits to reduce theft opportunities.
• Greet every customer entering or exiting the store with a warm, confident greeting.
• Identify and report theft incidents or suspicious activity to the Manager on Duty.
• Conduct bag and package checks on store and corporate associates following safety standards.
