Job summary

The TJX Companies, Inc. is hiring at TJ Maxx for a retail loss prevention/front-of-store role. You will deter theft, assist customers, and coordinate with store management to maintain safety and brand integrity.

Ideal candidates will communicate clearly, stay organized, and be able to stand for extended periods. 0–2 years of retail or security experience is acceptable, with benefits and a competitive hourly wage.

Qualifications

• Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to make sound decisions independently.
• Capable of taking initiative and working well with minimal supervision.
• Able to prioritize, organize workload and manage time effectively.
• Able to stand for long periods of time.
• 0-2 years of retail or security experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a proper and professional stance at the front of the store.
• Act as a visual deterrent to prevent loss and dishonesty.
• Review Store Emergency Response Guide and wear a Company-approved uniform with Body Worn Camera.
• Greet customers and provide courteous customer service.
• Refer customers to store management or customer service as needed.
• Observe and report suspicious behavior or incidents to LP or store management.
• Perform a closing safety sweep with a manager.
• Document incidents in the AIIM Case Management system.
