Job summary

Valor Hospitality Partners in Carson City, NV, seeks a restaurant shift supervisor to lead the team, coordinate with kitchen staff, and deliver exceptional guest service, quality standards, and hospitality.

The role requires 2–4 years in food and beverage, strong communication, delegation and people-management skills, and the ability to drive promotions and meet financial goals while upholding safety and sanitation.

Qualifications

• Two to Four-year college degree or equivalent education/experience.
• Minimum of two-year experience in the food and beverage industry.
• Basic knowledge of restaurant operations.
• Excellent oral, written and presentation skills.
• Ability to delegate, manage manpower and establish priorities consistent with department/hotel objectives.
• Listen effectively.
• Communicate to both, guests and fellow associates, professionally and positively.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the restaurant shift and coordinate with kitchen staff for smooth operations.
• Oversee associates: hiring, scheduling, training, coaching and performance reviews.
• Create and implement promotions, displays and ideas to capture more guests.
• Avoid legal challenges by conforming to regulations of the alcoholic beverage commission.
• Maximize bar profitability by ensuring portion control and accuracy of charges.
• Maintain sanitation and safety by enforcing standards and supervising equipment.
• Investigate and respond to guest needs and feedback to enhance their experience.
• Update cash management system and generate reports for restaurant administration.
• Respond to guest issues to ensure quality experience and future sales.
• Oversee maintenance/sanitation of the restaurant and equipment; may serve as manager on duty.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
