Valor Hospitality Partners seeks a Restaurant Shift Supervisor to oversee shift operations, coordinate with the kitchen, and ensure guest satisfaction while meeting financial goals. Strong leadership and communication are essential for coaching staff and maintaining service excellence.

Responsibilities include supervising shifts, conducting interviews, scheduling, promoting in-house marketing efforts, ensuring safety and sanitation, managing cash and reports, and delivering high-quality service

Qualifications

• Requires basic knowledge of restaurant operations.
• Possess excellent oral, written and presentation skills.
• Ability to delegate, manage manpower and establish priorities consistent with department/hotel objectives.
• Listen effectively.
• Communicate to both guests and fellow associates, professionally and positively.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the shift operations in the restaurant and liaise with the kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and quality service.
• Supervise restaurant associates: interview, schedule, train, coach and support performance reviews.
• Create and implement promotions and displays to capture more in-house guests and local market share.
• Ensure compliance with regulations including the alcoholic beverage commission.
• Maximize bar profitability through portion control and accurate charges.
• Maintain sanitation standards and supervise equipment maintenance to protect assets.
• Address guest needs and inquiries to ensure a quality experience and repeat business.
• Update cash management system and prepare reports for restaurant administration.
• Respond to guest issues to enhance satisfaction and future sales prospects.
• Supervise sanitation of the restaurant and equipment; perform additional duties as assigned; may serve as manager on duty.

Education

Two to Four-year college degree or equivalent education/experience
