Job summary

Chick-fil-A Bloomington West seeks a Front of House Shift Leader to run a shift with confidence, care for guests, and develop people. You will open or close the restaurant, own the guest experience, drive CEM scores, and place the right team members in the right positions.

This full-time role offers Sundays off, a starting pay of $18 per hour, and opportunities for growth under a local Owner/Operator who works side by side with the team.

Qualifications

• Ability to open and/or close and own a shift.
• Strong hospitality skills and heart for serving people.
• CEM-minded with focus on guest scores and comments.
• Reliable, organized, and calm under pressure.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Previous Chick-fil-A or leadership experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Open or close the restaurant and own the full Front of House shift from start to finish.
• Lead Front Counter, Dining Room, Drive-Thru, drinks, desserts, bagging, and hospitality positions.
• Be a CEM expert: coach in real time to drive guest scores.
• Place team members in the right positions and train, coach, and grow them.
• Run a clean, organized, and welcoming dining room and front line.
• Handle guest concerns with HEARD: Hear, Empathize, Apologize, Resolve, Delight.
• Protect speed, accuracy, food quality, and food safety.
• Communicate clearly with Back of House and leadership to stay aligned.

Now hiring a Front of House Shift Leader at Chick-fil-A Bloomington West

We’re looking for a leader who can run a shift with confidence, care for guests, and develop people. As a Front of House Shift Leader, you will open or close the restaurant, own the guest experience, drive CEM scores, and put Aces in their Places so the team can win the shift.

This restaurant is independently owned and operated by a local Owner/Operator who works side by side with the team.

What you’ll do

• Open or close the restaurant and own the full Front of House shift from start to finish
• Lead Front Counter, Dining Room, Drive-Thru, drinks, desserts, bagging, and hospitality positions
• Be a CEM expert: watch the guest experience in real time, coach in the moment, and drive CEM scores
• Put Aces in their Places — place the right Team Members in the right positions at the right time
• Model Core 4 and 2nd Mile Service and hold the team to that standard
• Train, coach, and encourage Team Member growth during the shift
• Run a clean, organized, and welcoming dining room and front line
• Handle guest concerns with care using HEARD (Hear, Empathize, Apologize, Resolve, Delight)
• Protect speed, accuracy, food quality, and food safety
• Support cash handling, inventory, and opening/closing checklists
• Communicate clearly with Back of House and leadership so the whole restaurant stays aligned
• Create a fun, welcoming environment where Team Members want to work and guests want to return

Who we’re looking for

• Able to open and/or close and take ownership of a shift
• Comfortable coaching others and developing Team Members
• CEM-minded: cares about guest scores, comments, and the details that drive them
• Reliable, organized, and calm under pressure
• Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 25–50 lbs
• Willing to work indoors and outdoors (drive-thru / curbside) in various weather
• Authorized to work in the United States
• Previous Chick-fil-A, restaurant, or leadership experience is a plus

Schedule

• Closed every Sunday — you will have Sundays off
• Must be able to open and/or close
• Flexible scheduling with a leadership-level commitment
• Year-round position (not seasonal)
