Job summary

Chick-fil-A Bloomington West is seeking a Back of House Shift Leader to run a shift, open or close, and own kitchen execution while protecting food quality and speed.

You will coach Team Members, ensure accurate, timely orders, and maintain a clean, well‑stocked kitchen under a locally owned Operator.

Responsibilities

• Open or close the restaurant and own the full Back of House shift.
• Lead breading, cooking, assembly, fries, salads, prep, and kitchen support.
• Protect speed, accuracy, and quality to maintain guest scores.
• Place Team Members in the right positions at the right times.
• Model urgency, cleanliness, and food safety standards.
• Train and encourage Team Members during the shift.
• Run a clean, organized, and well-stocked kitchen.
• Coordinate with Front of House to ensure complete orders on time.
• Protect portion control, recipes, and food-safety procedures.
• Support inventory, prep lists, waste control, and checklists.
• Stay calm during rushes and keep line moving without sacrificing quality.
• Create a fun, welcoming environment for the team.

Now hiring a Back of House Shift Leader at Chick-fil-A Bloomington West

We're looking for a kitchen leader who can run a shift with confidence, protect food quality, and develop people. As a Back of House Shift Leader, you will open or close the restaurant, own kitchen execution, support CEM scores through speed and accuracy, and put Aces in their Places so the team can win the shift.

This restaurant is independently owned and operated by a local Owner/Operator who works side by side with the team.

What you'll do

• Open or close the restaurant and own the full Back of House shift from start to finish
• Lead breading, cooking, assembly, fries, salads, prep, and kitchen support positions
• Be a CEM-minded leader: protect speed, accuracy, and food quality so guest scores stay strong
• Put Aces in their Places - place the right Team Members in the right kitchen positions at the right time
• Model urgency, cleanliness, food safety, and care for the team, and hold the kitchen to that standard
• Train, coach, and encourage Team Member growth during the shift
• Run a clean, organized, and well-stocked kitchen
• Communicate clearly with Front of House so every order goes out complete, accurate, and on time
• Protect food quality, portion control, recipes, and food-safety procedures
• Support inventory, prep lists, waste control, and opening/closing checklists
• Stay calm during rushes and keep the line moving without sacrificing quality
• Create a fun, welcoming environment where Team Members want to work and take pride in the food

Who we're looking for

• Strong work ethic and pride in food quality and kitchen standards
• Able to open and/or close and take ownership of a shift
• Comfortable coaching others and developing Team Members
• CEM-minded: understands that kitchen speed, accuracy, and quality drive guest scores
• Reliable, organized, and calm under pressure
• Able to stand for long periods, work in a hot kitchen, and lift up to 25-50 lbs
• Authorized to work in the United States
• Previous Chick-fil-A, kitchen, or leadership experience is a plus

Schedule

• Closed every Sunday - you will have Sundays off
• Must be able to open and/or close
• Flexible scheduling with a leadership-level commitment
• Year-round position (not seasonal)
