Job summary

Spinato’s in Tempe, AZ is seeking a Front-of-House Manager to lead service and guest experiences. You will supervise FOH staff, manage schedules, and ensure training, while upholding Spinato’s values and hospitality standards.

You’ll oversee inventory, open/close operations, and step in as General Manager when needed, guiding a calm, guest-focused environment with teamwork and accountability.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years restaurant management experience.
• Current ServSafe certification or ability to obtain upon hire.
• Strong understanding of food and beverage service, sanitation, and guest hospitality.
• Familiarity with POS systems, labor and P&L metrics, and close-out processes.
• Ability to lead and support FOH roles as needed.

The Front-of-House Manager (FOHM) plays a vital leadership role in bringing the Spinato’s Experience to life for both our guests and our team.

The FOHM is responsible for overseeing all front-of-house operations while maintaining a calm, professional demeanor in a fast-paced, guest-facing role. This position requires strong organizational skills, hands-on leadership, and a passion for service and team development. You’ll inspire our team to thrive, and your leadership will help shape a space where both team and guests feel a sense of belonging.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, support, and motivate all FOH staff during service periods, cultivating a positive, high-performing team culture
• Maintain all FOH staff scheduling and conduct timely performance reviews
• Hire and onboard new team members, ensuring alignment with Spinato’s values and guest service standards
• Execute FOH training, development plans, and team meetings to foster ongoing growth
• Oversee FOH inventory, ordering, and receiving processes
• Open and close the restaurant as scheduled, upholding operational excellence
• Act as General Manager in their absence, taking full responsibility for operations and leadership
• Manage VCDs, DSRs, payroll, and financial tasks as needed
• Uphold all FOH cleaning, sanitation, and alcohol management protocols
• Ensure cash handling and POS procedures are completed with accuracy and integrity
• Address and resolve guest concerns with empathy, professionalism, and a focus on creating memorable outcomes
• Maintain an organized office and ensure all checklists and operational forms are current
• Assist with other responsibilities as assigned by the General Manager

Qualifications: Qualifications & Skills

• 2–3 years of restaurant management experience preferred
• Current ServSafe certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)
• Strong understanding of food and beverage service, sanitation, and guest hospitality
• Familiarity with POS systems, time edits, labor and P&L metrics, and close-out processes
• Able to lead and support all FOH roles when needed
• Effective communicator with strong interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills
• Calm under pressure, detail-oriented, organized, and self-driven
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. and working a full shift on your feet
