Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Previous host/hostess or guest-facing experience preferred.
• Strong communication in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work flexible schedule including nights, holidays, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests with a friendly and welcoming demeanor as they enter the restaurant.
• Manage the seating chart and ensure seating matches reservations and server availability.
• Maintain an organized waiting list and provide estimated wait times.
• Address special seating requests and accommodate guests with needs (highchairs, boosters, wheelchair access).
• Offer menus to seated guests and explain specials or promotions briefly.
• Assist in managing reservations and confirming upcoming bookings.
• Respond to guest inquiries and provide information about the restaurant and menu.
• Assist guests with coat check services if available and maintain a tidy entrance.
• Communicate with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth guest flow.
