Job summary

Roost in Longview, TX is seeking a Front of House Captain to lead daily service and support a high-performing hospitality team. You’ll model exceptional guest care, supervise front-of-house teammates, and ensure smooth, organized operations across all shifts.

Through coaching, accountability, and hands-on leadership, you’ll maintain service standards, resolve guest concerns, and help create a welcoming atmosphere that drives guest satisfaction and repeat visits.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to lead front-of-house teams.
• Strong communication and guest relation skills.
• Experience with cash handling and POS operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the front-of-house team during each shift.
• Deliver prompt, friendly, attentive service to guests.
• Coach and develop team members while maintaining service standards.
• Assist with opening/closing procedures and shift checklists.
• Oversee cash handling, drawer accountability, and shift reconciliation.
• Support training and onboarding of new team members.
• Monitor dining room cleanliness and guest experience.
• Resolve guest concerns with hospitality-focused mindset.
• Communicate with kitchen and FOH teams to ensure smooth service.
• Ensure policies, food safety, and operational standards are followed.
