Job summary

Massanutten Resort is seeking a Front of House Assistant Manager to support daily restaurant operations and the general manager. You will oversee setup/breakdown, guide guest interactions, and uphold safety, sanitation, and quality standards in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Responsibilities include staff training, inventory control, and continuous improvement through performance metrics, ensuring exceptional guest experiences across shifts and peak periods.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, and general database applications).
• Strong understanding of ABC regulations.
• Previous food and beverage management experience.
• Must be at least 21.

Responsibilities

• Assist the general manager in upholding standards of customer service, ABC regulations, food quality and presentation, and daily operations of the restaurant.
• Assist general manager in maintaining company culture including training and development of new and existing employees and ensuring an effective feedback loop between management and employees.
• Maintain inventory control, including ordering of products as assigned by the general manager from distributors.
• Actively participate in problem-solving as it pertains to maintaining business flow.
• Involve supervisors in the process of implementation.
• Maintain a culture of improvement and achievement through consistent measurement, analysis, and recognition.
• Other duties as assigned by management

We are seeking a Front of House Assistant Manager who will support the General Manager with daily restaurant operations, including restaurant set-up and break-down. Oversees day-to-day activities to ensure a smooth, efficient operation and an outstanding guest experience. Serves as a knowledgeable resource for guests by providing information about the resort and the surrounding area, while consistently upholding safety, sanitation, and quality standards.

Required

Typical Schedule

Days:

Full availability required, including mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays

Hours:

Scheduling needs will vary based on business demands. Minimum scheduling requirement of 40 hours per week.

Salary: $53,500
