Job summary

CALA Scottsdale is seeking an Assistant General Manager to support the General Manager in owning daily performance, culture, and guest experience. This role is operationally hands-on and floor-driven, focused on executing standards, coaching managers and hourly team members, and ensuring the restaurant operates with consistency, urgency, and polish.

The AGM will lead service shifts, monitor guest flow, and uphold brand ambiance, while mentoring FOH staff and ensuring adherence to safety and

Qualifications

• 3+ years of upscale dining management experience.
• Strong floor leadership presence.
• Working knowledge of Toast POS.
• Excellent communication and coaching ability.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in high-pressure environments.
• Wine and spirits knowledge preferred.
• Arizona Food Handlers and Manager Certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead service shifts with visible floor presence to ensure smooth operation.
• Ensure the Sequence of Service is executed consistently across FOH roles.
• Support pacing, table management, and guest flow during peak hours.
• Coach in real time during service and conduct follow-up training as needed.
• Monitor labor, sales, and protect profitability alongside leadership.
