Job summary

CarMax is offering a Front-Line Manager in Training program at our Gastonia location. This six-week development track prepares you to lead Service Operations, with exposure to inventory, repairs, and end-to-end production processes.

Qualifications

• Ability to lead and manage teams effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong data interpretation and record-keeping skills for process compliance.
• Proven ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with associates and customers.
• Proficiency in common and proprietary software systems.
• Valid Driver’s License and flexibility to work indoors/outdoors in varied conditions.
• willingness to work nights, weekends, holidays, and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate comprehension of training content throughout the program.
• Support execution of store procedures and operational processes.
• Complete CarMax’s Management Development Program and apply leadership principles.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain quality and meet production goals.
• Model CarMax values by fostering integrity, respect, and a customer-first mindset.
• Prepare for transition into a leadership role and manage associates effectively.
• Oversee Environmental, Health and Safety programs for the department/location.
