Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking Front-End Drivers to operate front-end trucks for commercial and multi-family routes, delivering reliable waste collection services. You will perform pre/post-trip inspections, use GPS to locate addresses, and interact with customers, upholding DOT/safety standards.

CDL, 21+, and 1+ year of commercial driving (or CDL school) required. This is a full-time, on-site position with comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED desired.
• Possess valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), Class A or B.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Minimum one year of commercial driving experience or CDL school certificate.
• Must meet safety-sensitive criteria per company standards.
• Ability to safely drive the truck and operate the equipment.

Responsibilities

• Drive front-end or ancillary equipment along designated routes to collect solid waste.
• Open container enclosures or gates and roll 3–4 yard cans into position for dumping.
• Perform daily pre- and post-trip inspections and submit vehicle condition reports.
• Interact courteously with customers and report issues to management as needed.
• Maintain clean customer sites and safety along roads and highways.
• Maintain DOT logbook and route productivity sheets as required by law.
• Maneuver truck into and out of tight spaces using mirrors.
• Use maps and GPS to locate service addresses.
• Follow safety policies including lock out/tag out procedures.
• Monitor debris during dumping and ensure safety checks are performed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
