Total Wine & More is hiring a Cashier in New York to deliver fast, friendly service at the register and assist customers with product questions. You may also take on sales associate or merchandiser duties as needed.

Responsibilities include processing transactions, promoting loyalty programs, and maintaining store safety and cleanliness. Training on wine, beer, and spirits will enhance product knowledge for better customer interactions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Passion for best-in-class customer service and team player mindset.
• 1-3 years of work experience, 1+ years in retail preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and inventory management software.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently, including identification verification and payment handling.
• Deliver exceptional service and a personalized experience by greeting customers and informing about products and services.
• Participate in wine, spirits, and beer training to build product knowledge.
• Maintain knowledge of advertisements, promotions, and loyalty programs.
• Ensure adherence to laws and regulations related to sale of alcohol and maintain a safe store environment.
