Job summary

Total Wine & More in New York is seeking a Cashier to provide fast, friendly service, process transactions, answer questions, and ensure customers leave with a positive impression. The role may also include duties as sales associate or merchandiser, reporting to store management.

You will greet customers, promote loyalty programs, train in wine, spirits and beer, keep up with promotions, and help maintain a safe, clean store environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1–3 years of work experience; 1+ years in retail preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and inventory management software.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently, including identification verification and payment handling.
• Greet customers and promote loyalty programs to build relationships.
• Learn wine, spirits and beer to build product knowledge.
• Maintain knowledge of promotions and advertisements.
