Job summary

Kroger is seeking a dedicated store management professional to lead customer service, assist with department management, and maximize financial opportunities at the Salem, Oregon location. You will model the company values and step in for leadership when the Manager or Assistant Manager are unavailable.

Responsibilities include coaching cashiers, ensuring fast, friendly checkout, and maintaining store standards while adhering to labor agreements and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED plus cashier experience and retail experience.
• Must be 18 years old (19 in some states).
• Able to pass a drug test.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Weekend work regularly required.
• Occasional travel.
• Maintain confidentiality of information.
• Organize and prioritize tasks/projects.
• Valid driver's license required.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
• Knowledge of company policies and organizational structure.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and encourage associates to provide excellent customer service.
• Assist customers at checkout and manage lines and purchases.
• Provide peer coaching for cashiers.
• Maintain compliance with corporate policies, shrink control, safety standards, and labor agreements.
• Respond to system issues and cashier needs, including performing cashier functions when required.
• Monitor scheduling and 15-minute chart.
• Promote Company initiatives.
• Address customer comments/complaints/requests.
• Complete incident reports for customers and associates.
• Oversee store areas with colleagues to maintain inviting appearances reflective of Our People Are Great.
• Perform essential functions with/without reasonable accommodation.
