Job summary

Northeast Grocery in New York seeks an Assistant Front End Manager to help lead one of the store’s busiest, most customer-focused areas.

You’ll support the Customer Service Manager overseeing Front End operations, including checkout, customer service, bottle return, and front end merchandising.

You’ll coach and supervise cashiers and service clerks, ensure compliance with company policies and 5S standards, and maintain a welcoming, efficient shopping experience for shoppers and teammates.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to supervise and support others while ensuring follow-through on tasks.
• Basic literacy and computer skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the Front End team to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Create an outstanding customer experience with fast, friendly service at checkout.
• Oversee Front End operations including cash handling and bottle return areas.
• Maintain cash controls and accuracy per company policies and procedures.
• Support shrink, safety and compliance by adhering to 5S standards and safety policies.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
