Job summary

Kroger in Antigo, WI is seeking a Front-end Supervisor to assist the department manager in achieving sales and profit goals while upholding quality standards and Front-end best practices.

You will supervise front-end associates, schedule shifts, monitor cash controls, and ensure a welcoming environment for customers, while following safety procedures and maintaining department budgets.

Qualifications

• Ability to handle stressful situations
• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction)
• Retail or Customer Service experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Second language (speaking, reading and/or writing)

Responsibilities

• Promote trust and respect among associates.
• Create an environment that enables customers to feel welcome and appreciated by answering questions about products.
• Gain knowledge of products and respond to questions with suggestions.
• Assist with monitoring and control of department expenses.
• Assist with managing cash control, sales and cash records.
• Manage scheduling of Front-end associates to provide adequate department coverage.
• Assist store management in preparing budgets, profit and loss reviews.
• Support budgets and labor scheduling with store management.
• Develop and implement department action plans to achieve results.
• Collaborate with Front-end associates and promote teamwork.
• Display a positive attitude and stay current with ads.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and temperature logs.
• Reinforce safety programs and report unsafe conditions.
• Inspect equipment and notify management of repairs.
• Notify management of accidents and report safety risks or illegal activity.
