Meijer Inc. in West Chester, OH is seeking a Service Coordinator to lead front-end operations and ensure a high-quality customer shopping experience.

You will coordinate checkout flow, maintain front-end standards, and assign work to cashiers and service desk staff to meet productivity and service goals. The role emphasizes coaching, training, and accountability for front-end performance, with a focus on community engagement and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the Service Coordinator training curriculum (includes curriculums for Cashier, Service Desk, and Courtesy Team).
• Ability to operate cash register system and all financial services equipment.
• Good communication skills, friendly, customer oriented, organized, detail oriented, sense of urgency.
• Has organizational and multi-tasking abilities.
• This position may require lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending, twisting, squatting, stooping, kneeling and/or climbing.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with peer leadership for smooth handoff between shifts.
• Perform survival walk of the department and shift-to-shift hand-off when the team leader or area leader is not present.
• Coordinate and drive actions and activities involving monitoring and control of shrink and financial business outcomes within areas of responsibility.
• Proactively escalate concerns to leadership as they arise.
• Champion participation in community programs; lead by example with team member resource group engagement.
• Serve as a certified trainer for team members in their span of care.
• Perform on-the-job training and mentoring for team members.
• Serve as subject matter expert for market programs, company pilots, and development/training programs.
• Assign tasks to team members within the department, in partnership with the team leader, and follow up to ensure task completion.
