Job summary

Meijer is seeking a Service Coordinator in Michigan to lead and support front-end operations, coordinating checkout flow, ensuring front-end standards, and guiding team members for peak performance. You’ll mentor staff, manage tasks, and help drive customer satisfaction.

The role focuses on coaching, labor utilization, and resolving customer issues to improve efficiency and accountability in front-end services.

Qualifications

• Completed the Service Coordinator training curriculum.
• Ability to operate cash register system and financial services equipment.
• Strong communication, friendly, customer-oriented.
• Organized with attention to detail and urgency.
• Able to lift/carry/push/pull as required.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with peer leadership for smooth handoffs between shifts.
• Perform survival walk of the department and shift-to-shift hand-off when the team leader is not present.
• Coordinate and drive actions involving monitoring and control of shrink and financial outcomes; elevate concerns to leadership.
• Champion participation in community programs and lead by example with team member resource group engagement.
• Serve as a certified trainer for team members.
• Perform on-the-job training and mentoring of team members.
• Serve as SME for market programs, pilots, and development/training programs.
• Assign tasks to team members and follow up to ensure completion.
