Job summary

Northeast Grocery is seeking a Front End/Scanning Assistant to maintain the integrity of our scanning file and ensure fast, friendly customer service throughout the store. You will act as a liaison between the store and the Scanning Department while supporting 5S standards.

The role requires knowledge of Gateway, scales and scanning, basic computer skills, and the ability to assist customers with questions.

Qualifications

• Basic literacy and strong communication skills.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Performance reviews must be satisfactory.

Responsibilities

• Maintain 5S standards to provide fast, friendly customer service.
• Keep workstation neat, clean, and organized.
• Know store systems: Gateway, scales, and scanning.
• Assist customers by answering questions.
• Verify price tags and shelf tags for accuracy and visibility.
• Ensure weekly price changes are correct across departments.
• Report pricing/scanning discrepancies to the Scanning Department.
• Provide back-up support to Front End operations when needed.
