Job summary

DICK’S Sporting Goods is seeking a Customer Service Specialist in San Antonio to deliver an exceptional shopping experience. You will greet customers, share product knowledge, and support front-end operations to ensure smooth transactions.

You will provide register coverage, assist cashiers with complex transactions, and help with department scheduling and presentation standards. Training teammates on programs and fostering an inclusive store environment are also key responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Prior retail sales, cashier, or customer-focused experience preferred.
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull and lift 15 to 35 lbs. items occasionally (up to 5 times per hour).
• Ability to work extended periods of time standing or walking.
• Ability to perform repetitive motions for short periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Greet teammates and customers and proactively approach customers to understand their needs and support their shopping experience.
• Serve as primary customer service provider at the front end and liaison between customers and management.
• Provide register coverage as needed and support cashiers through complex transactions.
• Assist manager with department scheduling, directing workflow, daily associate assignments, and monitoring department presentation standards.
• Uphold merchandising and presentation standards by following floor sets, signage requirements, price changes, inventory presentation and replenishment standards.
• Promote and provide training to new and current teammates on company programs (loyalty, warranty sales, private label credit card enrollment).
• Adhere to policies related to safety, loss prevention and confidentiality of company information.
• Create an inclusive store environment where everyone feels welcome, safe, and respected.
• Take an all-hands-on-deck approach to support the team across the store.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
